During Safavid period Bid Abad was as important and prestigious section of Isfahan. One of European travelers who visited Isfahan in the 17th century was called Chardin. He was a French citizen who enjoyed the hospitality of people and the royal court, but he was one of moslems’ enemies and was not an honest guest.

The public bathhouse was repaired and restored by Isfahan Municipality and recently has been converted to a museum. Minor restorations and decorations can be seen from Qajar and Pahlavi periods too.
